Who We Are

Strategically located in Greece within easy air, rail and sea access, SSMART S.A. and Signaal Hellas S.A. are two uniquely structured state-of-the-art companies, focused in specialised defence hardware production and services, primarily for naval applications and software production for real-time environments for the defence as well as the broader civilian markets.

The companies are firmly established in the Greek market having participated in most of the Hellenic Navy's latest new building and modernisation programs as well as having significant participations in numerous large overseas naval programs including countries such as Poland, Indonesia and Germany.

With combined annual turnover in 2006 over €10m, a €60m order book, full ISO 9001:2000 & AQAP certification, employing in excess of 60 highly specialised and experienced engineers and personnel in state-of-the-art facilities, SSMART & Signaal Hellas offer unique, affordable solutions for undertaking complete programs to bespoke specialised production and services.

Quality

From their foundation SSMART & SIGNAAL HELLAS have recognised the need for high quality products and services. For this reason great emphasis has been given to quality assurance and control.

The Quality Management System - QMS of the company successfully covers all stages and processes involved in daily operations and production. It is audited internally at regular time intervals as well as being reviewed by external parties such as customers and official quality certification auditors. The board of directors adheres to a policy of continual review and improvement of the QMS.

SIGNAAL HELLAS has been certified according to ISO 9001:2000 for requirement analysis, design, development and production, installation, integration, testing and maintenance of system's software by the Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.

SSMART's quality system is certified according to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 & AQAP for the provision of technical services to Industrial and Defense electronic systems incorporating installation, repair, overhaul, upgrade and modernization of systems and sensors, as well as relevant technical services by the loyd's Register Quality Assurance.
